JIBOMED collects unused U.S. medical equipment and unexpired medications and places them directly into the hands of healthcare professionals across Africa — where one machine can change a whole community.
Send equipment, supplies, or unexpired medications — or give financially to fund shipping.
Items are inspected, tested, and prepared at our Denver warehouse for safe transit.
Donations travel to vetted clinics, hospitals, and practitioners across Africa.
A doctor opens a clinic. A midwife delivers safely. A community gains care.
A Nigerian-American entrepreneur and author based in Lakewood, Colorado, Jibril founded JIBOMED to close the gap between America's surplus of unused medical resources and Africa's urgent need for them.
Having lived between Abuja and Colorado, Jibril Ahmed saw both sides of a painful imbalance: hospitals in the U.S. retiring working equipment, while skilled doctors and nurses across Africa worked without the basic tools their training demanded.
JIBOMED was his answer — a direct, no-overhead pipeline that turns America's unused stethoscopes, monitors, beds, and medications into the difference between care and crisis for communities that need them most.
Every donation is handled personally and routed to professionals who have been verified, so help reaches the people who can use it best.
Six commitments that guide everything we collect, ship, and deliver.
Put real diagnostic and treatment tools into the hands of trained African healthcare workers.
Rescue functional U.S. medical equipment from landfills and give it a second life saving lives.
Deliver unexpired, sealed medications where pharmacies are under-stocked or unreachable.
Work hand-in-hand with verified clinics, hospitals, and individual practitioners.
Prioritize rural and under-resourced communities that larger programs overlook.
Keep the pipeline direct so the maximum value of every donation reaches the field.
If it's working and clean, there's likely a clinic that needs it. A sample of what we collect and ship:
Patient lifts, wheelchairs, and mobility aids that help patients move, recover, and live with dignity.
Hoyer, Sabrina, and sit-to-stand lifts for safe patient transfers in clinics and homes.
Manual and powered mobility that restores independence to those who need it.
Crutches, walkers, canes, and support frames for recovery and daily living.
Respiratory equipment is among the most requested — and most lifesaving — donations we handle.
Portable and stationary units that supply continuous oxygen where it's scarce.
Tanks and regulators to support emergency and ongoing respiratory needs.
Working ventilators for hospitals managing critical and surgical care.
We accept sealed, unexpired medications and route them to clinics facing shortages. Please contact us before shipping any medication so we can guide you on handling and compliance.
Financial gifts cover the cost of inspecting, packing, and shipping equipment overseas — the step that turns a donated machine into delivered care.
